Ever since she has been crowned Miss World 2017, Indian beauty queen Manushi Chillar has been in the news all around. She has been showered with admiration from all corners, with many politicians, celebrities, and other personalities heaping their praises on the beauty with brains.
After having won the world over with her beauty and her brilliant answer to the winning question during the finale in China, Manushi has been meeting many personalities, including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.
However, what happens when she bonds with a former beauty queen herself?
A video in which she bumped into former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen on a flight has been doing the rounds. The video is from September this year, when Manushi was still to become Miss World, and was preparing as a contestant for the pageant as Miss India.
In the video, Sushmita tells Manushi, “Give it your best shot and then leave the rest in God’s hands. All the best.” Sushmita is also seen giving Manushi a good luck kiss on her hand.
While Manushi was crowned Miss World this year, Sushmita was the first Indian woman to win the coveted Miss Universe title, back in 1994.
In the same year, Aishwarya Rai was also crowned Miss World, becoming the second Indian woman to do so.
Manushi was the sixth Indian woman to lift the crown, joining an illustrious list which includes Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (now Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, 1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999) and Priyanka Chopra (2000).
Prior to Manushi’s feet, the last time India tasted success was in 2000, when the trio of Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra and Dia Mirza won the Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Asia Pacific together in one year.
