Have those irritating SMS reminders you keep receiving, asking for linking your Aadhaar Cards to our bank accounts and phone connections, gotten to your heads?
Well, you can’t really do much about it.
Except, probably watch a music video on it.
Comedy group East India Comedy has come up with a new song to sing all our woes regarding the Aadhar Card.
Called ‘The Aadhar Song’, the song tells us how we will be ripped of our privacy by the government with the Aadhar Card and there’s nothing much we can do about it.
Watch it here:
Sung by Angad Singh Ranyal, Azeem Banatwalla, Kunal Rao, Sapan Verma and Sahil Shah of EIC, the song is a parody of the hit Badshah track ‘Dj Wale Babu’.
EIC are well-known for their quirky musical comedy, singing musical parodies dealing with politics and social issues. They have, in the past churned out ‘The Modi Song’, ‘The Arnab Song’ and ‘The Trump Song’ among others.
The song takes a dig at demonetization and GST as well, asking the poor aam aadmi to comply, as there are not much options available otherwise.
It also refers to recent incidents of people being denied food without biometric identification, even leading to death in one case.
The song also gives a warning to the public to listen to the PM’s Mann Ki Baat or else face consequences, like getting your account Swach or being labeled an anti-national.
